Acorn TREEGUARD

Acorn Treeguard is a 12mm square plastic netting, identical to Shelterguard tree shelters - but without the polyethylene lining. Plastic mesh tree guards are designed for protecting small trees from damage caused by animals ranging from rabbits to deer. The Acorn Treeguard mesh guards are particularly suitable for the protection of evergreens which often grow too rapidly in an enclosed shelter, becoming top heavy and unstable. Plastic mesh tree guards allow the tree to grow in its natural climate without inhibiting sunlight or rainfall.
The Acorn Treeguard range is available in pre-formed nested tubes in diameters suitable for trees and shrubs. The mesh tree guard can also be supplied on full rolls or in cut pieces as required.

The Treeguard Plus for Trees range consists of four welded tubes nested inside of each other (diameter range of 80-110mm). All pre-formed tree-guards have ties pre-fitted as standard.
The guards have a moulded top lipping fitted to prevent stem abrasion and strengthen the tube.
The netting and top lipping will photodegrade and split as the stem of the growing tree expands to fill the tube.

Treeguard Plus for Shrubs |

The Treeguard Plus for Shrubs range consists of four welded tubes nested inside of each other. The diameter ranges are 130-160mm, 150-180mm or 170-200mm. All shrub guards are 60cm tall and come complete with two pre-fitted ties.
The guards have a smooth top edge to prevent stem abrasion and strengthen the tube.
The netting will photodegrade and split as the stem of the growing tree expands to fill the guard.

Cut pieces of Tree guard are very versatile as they are available in a much wider range of sizes than pre-formed tubes and make an economical alternative. The prices listed are for the most common sizes, however, we can make 9cm, 15cm and 20cm diameter shelters at any height, and 60cm tall shelters to any diameter.
We also offer the option of rolling and banding sets of 4 or 5 pieces of material for an extra 15%. This pre-forming makes the guards easier to construct in the field and is particularly helpful for smaller diameters.

Layflat Treeguard |

Fine Mesh combines a wide, heavier mesh for rigidity with a fine, criss-cross mesh to prevent shoots growing out of the guard. Standard Mesh is made from the same netting as our Treeguard material, with 12mm squares. It is available in two diameters and is ideal for protecting conifers, willows or poplars.
