Tree Shelters, Tree Guards & Rabbit Guards
Tree Shelters and treeguards are used to protect young trees, single-stemmed seedlings and transplants from damage caused by animals ranging from rabbits to deer. Our Acorn Planting Products range of tree protection guards include plastic mesh tree guards and tree shelters which are manufactured by co-extruding mesh and film to produce a guard that can create its own micro-climate around the tree.

Shelterguard Tree Shelters - Pre-formed Tubes
Shelterguard® tree shelters offers protection from smaller animals including rabbits in the 600mm size tree guards and offers deer protection in the tree shelters manufactured from 1.2m - 1.8m high.
The Shelterguard® material has been specifically designed to photo-degrade in a two stage process, with the polyethylene lining breaking up first, once the tree is established enough to no longer require the shelter environment, leaving a free draining netting to continue to provide support and browsing protection.

Treeguard Tree Guards - Pre-formed Tubes
Treeguard is a 12mm square plastic mesh, identical to Shelterguard tree shelters - but without the polyethylene lining. Plastic mesh tree guards are designed for protecting small trees from damage caused by animals ranging from rabbits to deer. Treeguard mesh is suitable for the protecting evergreens which often grow too rapidly in an enclosed shelter, becoming top heavy and unstable.
The Acorn Treeguard range is available in pre-formed nested tubes in diameters suitable for trees and shrubs. We also offer treeguard rolls in cut pieces or on full rolls.

Tree Stakes and Bamboo Canes
Softwood tree stakes and bamboo canes are available for fixing our Acorn range of tree shelters, mesh tree guards and spiral rabbit guards. We offer our pressure treated softwood stakes in 25mm and 32mm widths in various heights from 75cm - 1.5m. We offer bamboo canes in 90cm heights in three grades and one grade for a 1.2m high cane.
Softwood Timber Tree Stakes
Boddingtons stock a wide range of four way pointed, CCA pressure treated softwood stakes for fixing our Acorn range of tree shelters and guards. Our high quality tree stakes are sourced from well managed Baltic forests. We offer our tree stakes in two thicknesses (25mm & 32mm) and in various heights from 75cm to 1.95m.

Bamboo Canes
